Urbandale students in nine events will compete in the State Drama Competition in early March.

Storytelling - performers tell a five minute story

Anjel Shiffer - "The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Anderson

Jessica Haarsma - "Snow White" by the Brothers Grimm -Original Oratory - speakers deliver a persuasive or inspirational speech

Anjel Shiffer - "Live Out Love"

Literary Program - performers share selections of poetry and prose based on a theme

Danielle Pack - "Friendship"

Solo Musical Theatre - performers sing a song from a musical

Justeen Schoner - "Home" by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice -Acting - actors perform an eight minute monologue

Morgan Muell - "The Birds: A Modern Adaptation" by Dan Zolidis -Improv - performers create an scene with at least two characters
