On October 31, 2014, and November 1, 2014, the ISDTA (Iowa State Dance Team Association) Solo Competition was held in Newton.
Urbandale had 3 contestants this year: Seniors Mallary Pecinovsky, Nick Rice and Alenah Luthens. All three dancers earned a division rating. In addition, Nick Rice placed 3rd and Alenah Luthens placed 5th in the Large School Division. There were 70 contestants from across the state in Urbandale’s division.
The ISDTA Team Dance Competition will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014, in Des Moines. The Urbandale Jaywalkers will be competing in Jazz and High Kick at this year’s event.
