Urbandale will play Bettendorf in the 1st Round of the 2014 Boys State Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
Quarterfinal Round Tickets – Urbandale vs. Bettendorf
State Basketball Tournament tickets and t-shirts will go on sale on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 12:00pm in the Activities Office at Urbandale High School, located just inside the East entrance to the high school. There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual may purchase.
Tickets will be sold:
Monday, March 10, 2014 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Tuesday, March 11, 2014 8:00am – 7:00pm
Tickets are $8.00 each. Checks may be made payable to Urbandale High School.
The High School will dismiss all students at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
State Tournament T-Shirts will also be available for $12.00 when tickets are sold. Checks may be made payable to the Urbandale Booster Club.
If Urbandale advances to the Semifinal on Friday with a victory over Bettendorf:
With an Urbandale victory on Wednesday, Semifinal tickets will be on sale on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 8:00am – 6:00pm in the Activities Office at Urbandale High School, located just inside the East entrance to the high school
Urbandale would face either Iowa City West or Southeast Polk at 1:30pm on Friday, March 14, 2014.
Tickets are $8.00 each. Checks may be made payable to Urbandale High School.
Information regarding student dismissal will be made available on Wednesday evening.
If Urbandale is playing in Saturday's Championship Game or Consolation Game:
All tickets for Saturday must be purchased directly from Wells Fargo Arena.
Seating Assignments / Spectator Conduct – Wells Fargo Arena
Urbandale will be seated opposite the scorer's bench for Wednesday's game vs. Bettendorf. These seats are numbered in sections 114 through 118. The Urbandale Student Section will be sections 114 and 115.
Once the first game is complete, Southeast Polk fans will be asked to exit to the right and Urbandale fans will be able to move in to the sections closest to the floor from the left. Do not rush to get into these seats – there will be plenty of time to move in to your section.
A few reminders about games at the State Basketball Tournament:
- You are representing our high school and our community – please do so with respect for others including the opposing team, players, spectators, and officials.
- Actions such as turning your back during introductions and the yelling of profane statements towards anyone in the arena are inappropriate.
- There are to be no signs, flags, or noisemakers. Individuals with said items will be removed without warning.
- Individuals must wear shirts and shoes at the State Tournament.
- Entering the playing floor following any game during the State Tournament will result in a loss of privileges for our team and future probation and possible suspension periods for our school.
Understand that at the State Tournament, spectator conduct is monitored not only by the school, but also by the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the staff at Wells Fargo Arena. There are no warnings at the State Tournament.
