On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the request of the Urbandale Girls Basketball Team, the Urbandale Girls throughout the program will wear their "road" Blue Uniforms in recognition of the tragedy that took the lives of Urbandale Police Officer Justin Martin and Des Moines police Sgt. Tony Beminio and to honor both men.
The J-Hawks host DM North and the evening begins with a 9th Grade Game at 4:45pm, JV Game at 6:15pm, and a Varsity Game at 7:45pm. DM North has agreed to wear their "home" light uniforms for the contests.
In addition, the Urbandale Girls Basketball Team encourages fans from both teams to wear Blue in honor of both individuals and in support of the Urbandale and Des Moines Police Departments.
