Farm Bureau Financial Services recently hosted a unique event designed to motivate and support female high school golfers.
Maia Bibbs and Kristine Denning represented Urbandale High School at Swing for Success on August 16.
The event was held in conjunction with Solheim Cup practice rounds at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club.
The day kicked off with an inspirational message from 2005 U.S. Solheim Cup Team Captain and golf legend, Nancy Lopez. Then the golfers hit the course practicing their driving, chipping, and putting techniques under the watchful eyes of LPGA instructors. The day concluded with comments from 1996 and 1998 U.S. Solheim Cup Team Captain, Judy Rankin.
