Girls Soccer Recognized by NSCAA for 10th Consecutive Year

A total of 386 soccer teams (145 boys, 241 girls) from throughout the United States have earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2012-13 academic year. Among these programs are 52 schools receiving honors for both their boys and girls teams.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

Urbandale High School was one of two schools recognized for Girls Soccer in Iowa; the only other Iowa Girls team recognized was Grinnell High School.

Urbandale was been recognized in achieving the Team Academic Award for 10 years straight.  (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013)
