2014 Girls Soccer Team Receives NSCAA Awards

National Soccer Coaches Association of America High School Team Academic Award

The Urbandale High School Girls Soccer Team has been recognized for the 11th year in a row by earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for 2013-2014 school year.

A total of 195 girl teams from throughout the United States, two from Iowa, have earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2013-2014 academic year.  To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year.  Urbandale achieved a GPA of 3.81.

 

National Soccer Coaches Association of America Silver Award for Team Ethics and Sportsmanship

The Urbandale High School Girls Soccer Team is a recipient of the NSCAA Silver Award for Team Ethics and Sportsmanship for the 2014 season.  In order to qualify for this award, a team may not have received any (0) Red Cards at any time during the season and less than (6) yellow cards in a season.  2014 was the first time this award was handed out by the NSCAA.
