The Urbandale Doubles Team of Brooke Dannenfeldt and Mylea Cole advanced to the Class 2A Semifinals in Doubles following a pair of victories on Wednesday at State Tennis in Iowa City.

The pair beat Maddie Slagle/Emma Lassen of Cedar Rapids Jefferson 6-4, 6-0 in the opening round.

In the Quarterfinal Round, it took three sets, but the J-Hawks advanced with a 7-5 3-6 6-4 win over Roshni Penmatcha/Kayla Nutt from Pleasant Valley.

The duo will face Anna Wanek/Kaylyn Chleborad of Dowling Catholic at 10:00am on Thursday in Semifinal Round play.

The doubles team of Katie Carver and Emily DeDoncker went 0-2 on Wednesday.
