Mary Young has signed a National Letter of Intent to run Track at Drake University beginning in the fall of 2014.

Young is the daughter of Felita Hayes of West Des Moines and Kevin Young of Des Moines.

Mary Young won the 2013 Class 4A, 100 Meter Hurdle State Championship and in doing so, set the State Record with a time of :14.62; Young won the same event in 2012.  In addition, she was a member of the 2012 State Championship 4x100 Meter Relay team from Urbandale.

Drake University is located in Des Moines, Iowa.
