Urbandale Girls Cross Country Coach Dan Davis has been named the 2015 Character Counts Coach of the Year.  

Davis, a Math teacher at Urbandale High School, has been a coach in some capacity in Urbandale for the past 17 years.

This is the 12th year for the award, presented in concert by Character Counts in Iowa, the Iowa Sports Foundation, and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
