The Urbandale Baseball Team opened the 2024 season a day late, their scheduled season opener at Norwalk was postponed on Monday. Instead, the J-Hawks (0-0) took on the #4 Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs at the DCG BB/SB Complex in Dallas Center, IA on May 14, 2024. 

The J-Hawks dropped the opener 4-6 behind a Clayton Renfrew start. In the nightcap, the J-Hawks got off to a hot start behind a 3-run home run by Brock Moore. They were leading 5-1 after 2 innings. Ultimately the Mustangs proved to be too much. The final was 5-11. 

Urbandale is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Des Moines East for a Varsity DH at 3:30pm.
