The Urbandale J-Hawks (8-4, 1-2) were at Barton Field in Urbandale to take on the Valley Tigers (4-6, 1-3) on May 31, 2024 for a CIML conference matchup. It was an overcast evening with southerly winds coming in from left field.

Brody McInville (1-1, 5.48) got the start on the bump for Urbandale in the single varsity game. The J-Hawks started out hot with a leadoff home run by Luke Karaidos, his second of the season. After the Tigers scored 2 in the top of the 4th, Jacob Barnes hit an RBI single to counter and tie the game.

Jordan Sturidvant was the hero in this one as he walked off the Tigers with an RBI single to left field!

With the win, the J-Hawks move to 9-4 on the season. Urbandale is scheduled to play Waukee at Barton Field on June 3rd.
