The Urbandale J-Hawks (10-8, 3-6) were at Barton Field in Urbandale to take on the #10 Dowling Catholic Maroons (8-7, 4-5) on June 10, 2024 for a CIML conference matchup. It was an unseasonably cool evening with highs in the 70s.

Clayton Renfrew (1-1, 3.36) got the start on the bump for Urbandale in the single varsity game. The J-Hawks started out hot with 3 runs in the bottom of the first. Then the Dowling bats got going in the second with 5 runs where they then piled on 9 more in the later innings. Urbandale tried to mount a rally scoring 3 in the fifth and 3 in the sixth behind Brock Moore's 3-run homer, his 3rd of the season. However, the Maroon offense was too much for the J-Hawks. The final score was 9-14 in favor of the Maroons.

With the loss, the J-Hawks move to 10-9 on the season. Urbandale is scheduled to host Southeast Polk at Barton Field on June 12th.
