The Urbandale J-Hawk (6-6) softball team was back at Gary Page Field for a CIML doubleheader. Tonight, the J-Hawks took on the Warriors of Waukee (4-5). Last season, the two teams split their one doubleheader.

We had a superhero in the stands tonight as Blake Bonta joined the patrons in attendance. Blake is the cousin of Avery McKinney and Tatum Johnson and has been battling medulloblastoma and is kicking cancer in the behind!

In game one, The J-Hawks were in it for most of the game behind Morgan Barry's start and a good bottom of the first. However, the Warriors scored in the top of the 6th to secure the victory, 2-6.

In game 2, it was clutch hitting after clutch hitting in the bottom of the 6th as the J-Hawks trailed 3-5 but exploded for SEVEN runs in the bottom of the 6th. Page tied it up with another clutch single! The final was 10-5

The J-Hawks will host Dowling on Thursday, June 6. The J-Hawks are 7-7 on the young season.
