The Urbandale J-Hawk (7-7) softball team was back at Gary Page Field for a CIML doubleheader. Tonight, the J-Hawks took on the Ankeny Hawks (5-5). Ankeny has won their last 9 meetings against the J-Hawks.

In game one, the J-Hawks were battling Creighton commit, and one of the best pitchers in the state, by outhitting the Hawks. However, the hits were scattered enough that the J-Hawks couldn't pull it out. The J-Hawks scored when Arabella Page singled in Kyra Kain. The final was 1-2.

In game 2, it was a gem from the sophomore Aubrey Schuman as she went the full 7-innings giving up 6 hits and 2 runs. The J-Hawks won 3-2 and earned a split of the #7 Ankeny Hawks! This ended the J-Hawks 10-game losing streak to Ankeny!

The J-Hawks will host Southeast Polk on Wednesday, June 12. The J-Hawks are 8-8 on the season.
