The Urbandale J-Hawk (8-8, 2-2) softball team was back at Gary Page Field for a CIML doubleheader against the #13 Southeast Polk Rams (8-10, 2-2). The Rams have won the last 6 meetings against the J-Hawks.

In game one, the J-Hawks were led by Sarah Webster who had FOUR hits in the first game of the doubleheader. Morgan Barry threw a complete game scattering 10 Ram hits. The J-Hawks had lost their previous 6 matchups versus the Rams, but that ended tonight! The J-Hawks won game 1 by a score of 9-5.

In game 2, Tatum Johnson continued her hitting ways and Bri Tigges added another bomb. The lightning struck late in the game forcing the final to come earlier than expected. The final was 5-8.

The J-Hawks will travel to the Jack North Invite on June 14 & 15 where they are scheduled to play Linn-Mar, Pleasant Valley, City High, and St. Edmunds. The J-Hawks are 9-9 on the season.
