Frerichc Filed played host to the Class 3A, Substate 8 semifinal matchup between the #12 Urbandale J-Hawks (7-8) and the Alliance Conference's Des Moines North Polar Bears (9-4).

The J-Hawks dominated the Polar Bears from the jump! It started with an Abby Jacobson goal in 3rd minute, Edan Baumgardner (12') and Taylor Mulligan (28') added the other first half goals for the J-Hawks. Lumley added goals in the 62nd and 71st minute and Taylor Mulligan added her 2nd goal also in the 71st minute to extend the J-Hawks lead in the 2nd half. The final was 6-0, moving the J-Hawks to 8-8 with the win.

The J-Hawks advance to face WDM Valley at Valley Stadium on May 23rd for the substate final.
