The Johnston/Urbandale Girls Swimming team has earned the IGHSAU Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award. Urbandale and Johnston have a cooperative agreement for boys and girls swimming.

The team carried a 3.65 GPA earning the honor. The IGHSAU Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award is given to teams who carry a 3.25 GPA and above.
