Pending Board approval, Urbandale is pleased to announce the appointment of Pete Traynor as the new Head Football Coach, effective for the upcoming 2025 season.

Coach Traynor brings a wealth of experience and deep familiarity with the program, having served as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for the past seven years, as well as an Assistant Coach under former Head Coach Sam Anderson. His longstanding commitment to the athletic and personal development of our student-athletes has been instrumental to the success and culture of our football program.

Coach Traynor has been a cornerstone of the athletic department, known for his tireless work ethic, innovative training methods, and ability to connect with student-athletes on and off the field. As he steps into this new role, the program looks forward to building upon its strong foundation and continuing to pursue excellence in all areas.
