Girls Soccer Dominate Scarlets to Start Season 2-0

The J-Hawks were in a tough battle in the first half but took control of the match in the 2nd half, cruising to a dominant 5-0 victory over the Des Moines East Scarlets to improve to 2-0 on the season.

The breakthrough came in the final minute of the first half when Aubrey Braaten sent one into the back of the net, sending the J-Hawks into the half with the 1-0 lead.

The second half was all J-Hawks starting off with a goal by Sadie Lilienthal scored 4 minutes into the 2nd half. Three more goals poured in with another Aubrey Braaten score on the night followed by Abby Johnson netting 2 scores of her own. Showcasing their depth, pace, and composure in front of goal. The defense remained rock solid throughout, keeping the Scarlets from generating any serious chances and earning their second scoreless game of the season.
