On May 23, 2025, the Urbandale J-Hawks girls' soccer team delivered a commanding 6–0 victory over Waterloo West in the Class 3A Region 3 Quarterfinal at Frerichs Field in Urbandale. The J-Hawks dominated from the outset, scoring three goals in each half.

Freshman, Evie Huls, led the offensive charge with two goals on four shots, while sophomore Alisa Pins contributed two assists. The J-Hawks maintained constant pressure on the Waterloo West defense. Waterloo West goalkeeper Jennyfer Cruz Castillo made 14 saves, but the Wahawks were unable to generate any shots or scoring opportunities.

With this win, Urbandale improved to 5-11-1 on the season and advanced to the Region 3 Semifinal at Ankeny Centennial, today, Wednesday, May 28, at 7:00 p.m.
