The 1968 Urbandale Boys Cross Country team placed 3rd in the State 2-mile race.  The team finished an undefeated dual season to place second at the Conference and State team races, and 2^nd at the Urbandale Invitational.  Ron Huber placed fourth at both State meets.  Dave Warner, Dave Steffen, Kelly Bast, Eric Morgan, Ron Huber, and Larry Moore helped Urbandale establish a school record of total team time for one race. 

The seniors concluded brilliant careers by compiling a 28-2-2 dual record.  As well as, 5 Conference Championships in 6 tries, 7 Invitational Championships, 3 second place finishes and one State Championship.
