In the 1997 State Tournament, the J-Hawks beat Iowa City City High 6-3 in the Semifinal round and then Cedar Rapids Washington High School 5-3 in the Championship match.  The participants that day were David Yans, Marc Kroloff, Matt Spina, Sammy Saluri, Austin Reed, and Fernando Villar.
