The 19th annual Urbandale Marching Invitational, featuring 17 Iowa high school marching bands, will be held Saturday, October, 1, 2016, at 4:05 p.m.

Bands will be performing in the competition at Frerichs Field at Urbandale High School, 7111 Aurora Ave., throughout the afternoon and evening, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 9:35 p.m.

Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for students through eighth grade.

High schools performing are Madrid, Ogden, Des Moines Christian, Prairie City-Monroe, West Marshall, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Perry, North Polk, Clarke, Bondurant-Farrar, Pella, Marshalltown, Johnston, Des Moines Roosevelt, Newton and Southeast Polk. The host Urbandale band will perform in exhibition prior to the awards ceremony.
