The Johnston/Urbandale Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Team finished 3rd in the District Meet on February 3, 2024.
 
  • The 200 medley relay team of Logan Williams, Maanit Sheth, Max Deacon and Jack Meyer dropped over 4 seconds to go a 1:42.66 and a 3rd place finish.  They qualified for STATE and go into the meet seeded in 18th place!
  • In the 200 free, Fisher Thorson dropped 1.14 to go a 2:02.48 to finish in 11th place.  Trent Safranski dropped 3.87 seconds to go a 2:01.01 for a 10th place finish.  Carter Mann dropped 4.72 to go a 1:56.99 and finished in 7th.
  • In the 200 IM, Jacob Coles dropped 10.02 seconds and went 2:18.41 for 13th.  Logan Williams dropped 4.85 seconds and went 2:09.45 for 11th.  Maanit Sheth dropped 6.10 for a 7th place finish with a 2:05.35.
  • In the 50 free, Will Mettenbrink dropped .92 for a 12th place finish in a time of 23.65.  Jack Meyer dropped .31 for an 11th place finish with a 23.41.  Nikolay Silkin dropped .40 to go a 22.05 for a 2nd place finish.  Nikolay advances to STATE and goes in seeded 16th!
  • In the 100 fly, Carter Mann dropped 1.62 for a 13th place finish with a 1:01.80.  Thomas Dicken dropped 3.13 for an 8th place finish in a time of 57.22.  Max Deacon dropped 1.63 for a 4th place finish in a time of 53.28.  Max advances to STATE and goes in seeded 19th!
  • In the 100 free, Ben Willrigh dropped 4.25 to go a 54.31 for 14th.  Jack Meyer went 50.66 for an 8th place finish as he dropped .94.  Nikolay Silkin dropped .56 for a 6th place finish in a time of 49.48.  Nikolay advances to STATE and goes in seeded 32nd.
  • In the 500 free, Trent Safranski dropped 11.22 seconds to go a 5:26.60 for a 9th place finish.  Fisher Thorson dropped 17.12 to go 5:22.77 for 8th place.  Jacob Coles dropped 21.43 seconds for a 7th place finish with a 5:18.64.
  • In the 200 free relay, the team of Nikolay Silkin, Carter Mann, Logan Williams and Will Mettenbrink dropped about 3 seconds to go a 1:31.72 for a 4th place finish.
  • In the 100 back, Thomas Dicken dropped 3.55 seconds for a 1:03.07 for 12th.  Logan Williams dropped 2.70 for an 8th place finish with a 58.24.  Max Deacon went 57.81 with a 2.15 sec drop for 7th.
  • In the 100 breast, Preston Molis dropped .41 for a 15th place finish with a 1:11.52.  Will Mettenbrink dropped 2.67 for a 14th place finish with 1:07.26.  Maanit Sheth dropped 2.72 seconds for a 9th place finish with a 1:04.39.
  • In the 400 free relay, the team of Jack Meyer, Maanit Sheth, Max Deacon and Nikolay Silkin dropped about 7 seconds for a 3:19.49 and a 4th place finish.  They advance to STATE and go in seeded 17th.
