Emerging Leaders Busy as J-Hawk Foundations in Full Swing

Emerging Leaders Busy as J-Hawk Foundations in Full Swing

With the 2014-15 school year well underway, J-Hawk Foundations is also in full stride.  Students have already met this year to discuss Focus and Toughness, while Carefrontation will be the last session before Winter Break.  In the spring, students will learn about Personal and Collective Responsibility, and Continuous Improvement.

In addition to J-Hawk Foundations, our Emerging Leaders are implementing the Seeds of Success Program in three elementary schools.  In the coming days, Emerging Leaders will have completed the third of six trips to 5th grade classrooms at Jensen, Karen Acres, and Webster to discuss these same topics and share a powerful video of Ben Comen, a high school cross country runner with cerebral palsy.  Next month, some of our Emerging Leaders will team up with the Urbandale Police Department to speak with students at Urbandale Middle School.
